In his impasto painting, he combines a modern, abstract pictorial approach with non-Western art traditions. For the Bank Austria Kunstforum in Vienna, the renowned exhibition maker Robert Fleck curated Yalcindag's largest solo exhibition to date, centered on three new series of works never before shown institutionally. This publication presents them for the first time: Monochrome Tondi, Infinity Paintings, in which subtle, sometimes magical color spaces open up, and the large-format series Natures. Created especially for the exhibition, these paintings contain Yalcindag's typical structure of small stylized blossoms as well as oversized floral motifs and wood structures, which the artist applies to the canvas using screen and wood printing.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eEkrem Yalcindag (born 1964 in Gölbasi, Turkey) studied art at Dokuz Eylül University in Izmir from 1985. In 1994, he moved to Germany, where he continued his studies at the Städelschule under Thomas Bayrle and Hermann Nitsch and eventually became a master student. Yalcindag's works have been shown worldwide in numerous exhibitions and are part of important collections such as the Kunstmuseum Stuttgart, the Istanbul Modern, the Zurich Museum Haus Konstruktiv, the Goetz Collection in Munich, among others.
